Responsible for guest room cleanliness & sanitation

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned number of rooms on a daily basis
  • Cleans and sanitizes guest bathrooms of assigned rooms
  • Changes linens and makes beds
  • Detailed and general cleanliness (sanitation) of entire guest room, to include dusting, vacuuming
  • Sweeps and mops bathroom floor. Sanitation of bathtub/shower, sink area, toilet. Replenish amenities and towels
  • Checks under mattress and under bed for dust, forgotten items, etc
  • Cleans mirrors; Disinfects doorknobs, remote, telephone
  • Makes sure all rooms have a “Do not disturb” sign; compendium and/or guestroom collateral are replenished and in good condition
  • Sprays air freshener in room
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description
  • Maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests; please refer to Section 7.0 in the Associate Handbook for specific examples.
