To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, company policies, and industry best practices at project sites or facilities. The HSE Engineer will implement and monitor effective HSE systems, promote a strong safety culture, and provide technical support to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with UAE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Conduct risk assessments, job safety analysis (JSA), and hazard identification activities to ensure safe work practices.
- Perform regular HSE inspections and audits at sites, identifying non-conformities and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Participate in incident/accident investigations and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.
- Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure all work permits (PTW) are properly issued, monitored, and closed according to site requirements.
- Coordinate with local authorities (e.g., Civil Defense, Municipality, ADNOC, DM, etc.) for regulatory compliance and inspections.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, reports, and performance statistics.
- Support the implementation of sustainability and environmental initiatives on site.
- Promote a positive safety culture by leading by example and encouraging safe behaviors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or equivalent).
- Certifications: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) mandatory; IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, or ISO certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–7 years of HSE experience in the UAE, preferably within construction.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, EHSMS frameworks, and local authority requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and incident reporting tools.
