Job Title: Safety Officer (NEBOSH Certified)Job Summary

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at the workplace. The role involves implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and promoting a safe working culture in line with local regulations and international best practices. A valid NEBOSH Certificate is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with local authority, client, and international HSE requirements
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures
  • Monitor unsafe acts and conditions and ensure immediate corrective action
  • Prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare detailed reports
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor compliance on site
  • Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures
  • Liaise with site management, supervisors, and clients on HSE matters
  • Promote a strong safety culture among employees and subcontractors
  • And other admin related works and data filings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent (mandatory)
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer (industry dependent)
  • Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard control measures
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting systems

Working Conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,900.00 per month
