Safety Officer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and proactive HSE Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and workers.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on site.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reports.
  • Coordinate with site management to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company safety policies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of total experience in Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • GCC experience is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of construction industry experience is mandatory.
  • NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management practices.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and safety awareness programs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on construction project sites.
  • Strong problem-solving and observation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle site safety responsibilities.
