About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across all stores, Distribution Centers (DC), and Distribution and Cross-Docking Replenishment Centers (DCRC) by proactively reducing workplace incidents, conducting comprehensive safety training, maintaining safety equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance with local safety standards

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Reduction

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace incidents and safety hazards across stores, DC, and DCRC.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by engaging employees at all levels in safety initiatives and communication.

Safety Training

  • Design and deliver safety training programs tailored for employees across all operational locations including stores, DC, and DCRC.
  • Ensure 100% employee participation in mandatory safety training sessions.
  • Maintain records of training attendance and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.

Equipment Safety and Maintenance (Fire Fighting Equipment)

  • Monitor and ensure the safety, maintenance, and operational readiness of fire-fighting equipment and other safety-related tools.
  • Coordinate regular inspections, testing, and servicing of safety equipment in compliance with manufacturer recommendations and local regulations.
  • Facilitate timely repair and replacement of faulty or expired equipment to maintain workplace safety standards.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance at Workplace

  • Ensure all locations comply with applicable local safety laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of local safety regulations and implement necessary changes to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities and internal management as required.
  • Work closely with management to integrate safety compliance into daily operations and company culture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in workplace safety, preferably in retail, warehousing, or logistics environments.
  • Certification in safety management -NEBOSH is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with local safety laws and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
