Safety Officer (Construction – MEP/HVAC)

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety procedures at project sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company safety policies. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the MEP/HVAC construction environment and a strong understanding of safety risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce safety procedures and policies at site.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on HVAC and MEP works.

Monitor and control hazards and unsafe conditions in the workplace.

Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and client safety requirements.

Prepare safety reports, incident logs, and daily site observations.

Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for workers and subcontractors.

Investigate and report near misses, incidents, and accidents.

Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to promote a safety-first culture.

Ensure availability and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections or compliance checks.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field (Engineering or Safety preferred).

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent safety certification is mandatory.

Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or MEP/HVAC sector (UAE/GCC preferred).

Good understanding of UAE labor law and HSE regulations.

Strong communication and reporting skills in English.

Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in high-risk environments.
