Safety Officer with NEBOSH (temporarily)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential health and safety hazards.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local and national regulations.
• Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, or near misses and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for hazard control and risk mitigation.
• Provide safety training and induction sessions for new employees and contractors.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents, and other safety-related activities.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a positive safety culture.
• Stay updated with changes in safety legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Participate in safety meetings and committees as required.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a must.
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations, and practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Job Type: Full Time - temporarily position - 3 to 6 months
