The Sales Associate plays a vital role in ensuring efficient sales operations, excellent customer service, and attractive product displays in both wholesale and retail environments. This role involves managing product shelving, maintaining stock levels, monitoring expiry and damages, ensuring FIFO/FEFO standards, and assisting customers in product selection. The Sales Associate ensures the store remains well-organized, fully stocked, and aligned .

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Sales and Customer Service Focus

· Attend to retail and wholesale customers courteously and professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

· Support daily sales activities by assisting customers, promoting products, and providing product information.

· Process sales transactions accurately in coordination with the cashier or POS system.

· Assist wholesale buyers with order preparation, packing, and product loading as required.

· Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively answer customer inquiries and promote sales.

Merchandising and Display Focus

· Display and arrange products on shelves following FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.

· Ensure all product displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing in line with merchandising standards.

· Refill shelves promptly to maintain full stock availability throughout the day.

· Ensure product labels, pricing tags, and promotional signage are accurate and visible.

· Check and remove expired, damaged, or slow-moving items from display areas and report to the supervisor.

Stock and Inventory Focus

· Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and back store regularly.

· Conduct daily checks of back store inventory to ensure product availability.

· Inform the Sales Supervisor or Reporting Manager of any out-of-stock, low-stock, or near-expiry items.

· Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, verifying quantities and product conditions.

· Maintain the cleanliness and organization of stockrooms and display areas.

Operational and Team Focus

· Coordinate with other sales associates and store teams to maintain smooth operations.

· Support in stock counting and inventory audits as required.

· Follow company policies on sales handling, safety, and hygiene procedures.

· Report maintenance, safety, or operational issues promptly to the supervisor.

Quality and Compliance Focus

· Ensure strict compliance with FIFO/FEFO methods for product rotation.

· Follow company policies on hygiene, safety, and store upkeep.

· Contribute to maintaining a professional, customer-friendly, and efficient store environment.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Sales, Retail, or Customer Service are an advantage.

· 0.6–2 years of experience in retail or wholesale sales, preferably in the FMCG or supermarket sector.

· Basic understanding of sales operations, merchandising, and inventory management.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Physically fit to handle product movement, shelf stocking, and general retail tasks.

· Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Salary - 120 + food +accommodation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO120.000 - RO140.000 per month
