Job Summary:

The Sales & Catering In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the overall catering operations and driving sales growth. This includes handling client inquiries, preparing proposals, coordinating catering events, supervising staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role blends hands-on operational management with proactive sales and marketing initiatives to expand the catering business.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new catering business opportunities (corporate clients, private events, institutions, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, event organizers, and vendors.
  • Prepare and present customized catering proposals, quotations, and contracts.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand requirements and promote catering services.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute promotional campaigns for catering packages.

Operations Management:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee catering events from setup to completion.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and logistics teams to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
  • Supervise catering staff, assign duties, and ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory of catering supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor cost efficiency and minimize wastage during events.

Customer Service & Quality Control:

  • Ensure client satisfaction through high service quality and professionalism.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients before, during, and after events.

Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain sales records, client databases, and event documentation.
  • Prepare periodic performance and financial reports.
  • Monitor budget utilization and profitability per event.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in catering, hospitality sales, or event management.
  • Strong understanding of food service operations and client servicing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic POS or CRM software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for events.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed monthly/annual catering sales targets.
  • Client Retention Rate: Maintain a minimum 60-75% of repeat or returning clients.
  • Event Profit Margin: Ensure profitability across catering events.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Achieve high post-event feedback ratings (e.g., 90%+).
  • Operational Efficiency: Maintain event delivery timelines and minimize wastage/cost overruns.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Ratio of inquiries converted to confirmed bookings.
  • Cost Control: Maintain food cost and overheads within approved budgets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
