Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Life Sciences

Prana Life Sciences is a fast-growing Life Sciences IT consulting firm helping pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies accelerate digital transformation and maintain compliance. Our services span Veeva, Medidata, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems critical to regulatory and commercial success. As we expand our reach in the U.S. market, we’re looking for a motivated and skilled Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our global team.

Position Overview

The SDR will play a critical role in generating qualified leads and booking discovery meetings with U.S.-based prospects. This role requires a self-starter with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of B2B technology sales processes, and a passion for life sciences. You’ll work closely with marketing and sales leadership to build a high-quality pipeline and lay the foundation for client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect U.S.-based life sciences companies via email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate interest and set qualified meetings.
  • Follow up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, webinars, and content downloads.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to assess prospect fit and qualify interest.
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor outbound campaigns for key personas (e.g., IT leaders, quality heads, clinical ops, regulatory affairs).
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM (Salesforce).
  • Work with U.S.-based account executives to hand off qualified opportunities and support sales motions.
  • Provide regular activity updates and performance metrics to sales management.
  • Conduct company and contact research to personalize outreach and improve targeting.
  • Assist in creating email templates, call scripts, and outreach cadences.
  • Represent the company in a professional and consultative manner.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in a B2B Sales Development or Lead Generation role.
  • Experience selling or prospecting into U.S. markets, ideally in enterprise technology or consulting services.
  • Excellent verbal and written US English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of US business culture and language.
  • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting strategies and tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and ZoomInfo).
  • Previous experience in or exposure to life sciences, pharma, or biotech industry is a big plus.
  • Comfortable giving introductory company overviews and supporting product/service demos.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce and marketing automation tools like HubSpot or Pardot.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working remotely or in global sales teams.
  • Background in SaaS, IT consulting, regulated industries (life sciences, healthcare, etc.).
  • Exposure to Veeva, Medidata, Salesforce, or similar life sciences platforms.
  • Experience working in Life Sciences space a plus.
