Drive revenue and profitable growth in a startup general trading setup by completing vendor registrations, leading tendering/proposals, sourcing/procuring products across categories, and maintaining rigorous documentation—while achieving monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities1) Vendor Registration & Compliance
- Prepare, submit, and track prequalification/vendor registrations with government, semi-government, EPCs, and private groups.
- Maintain compliance dossiers (trade license, VAT, insurances, QHSE, certificates, references, ICV if applicable), portals, and renewal calendars.
2) Tendering & Proposal Management
- Monitor e-procurement portals and mails for RFQ/RFP/ITT; perform scope/BOQ reviews.
- Lead techno-commercial bids: supplier quotes, compliance matrices, pricing/margins, delivery terms, bonds/guarantees (as applicable).
- Submit, track clarifications, attend site/pre-bid meetings; maintain a bid tracker with win/loss analysis.
3) Sourcing, Procurement & Trading Operations
- Identify/qualify OEMs/distributors; issue RFQs and negotiate price, INCOTERMS, payment, warranty, lead time.
- Place POs, expedite deliveries, coordinate inspections/certifications (CoC, CoA, MTC, MSDS) and logistics.
- Support general trading workflows: import/export documentation, basic customs knowledge, coordination with freight/clearance partners; familiarity with LC/TT preferred.
4) Target Achievement & Pipeline Ownership
- Own a quantified sales target (revenue & margin) and deliver against monthly/quarterly quotas.
- Build and manage pipeline (prospecting → RFQ → quote → order → delivery → collection).
- Track activity KPIs (outreach, meetings, quotes) and conversion rates; maintain forecast accuracy.
5) Documentation, CRM & Reporting
- Generate/control quotations, POs, DOs, GRNs, invoices, warranties, service reports.
- Maintain accurate CRM/ERP entries (Zoho or similar); produce weekly dashboards (pipeline, tender log, registrations, sourcing KPIs, target vs. actual).
6) Account Development
- Develop key accounts (buyers/engineers/approvers), secure meetings/demos/site visits, and coordinate after-sales support.
- Cross-sell/upsell across general trading categories to expand share of wallet.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or Business/Commerce).
- 3–6 years UAE B2B sales experience in industrial/general trading, tendering, vendor registration, and sourcing.
- Proven record of hitting sales targets and managing full-cycle opportunities.
- Proficient with e-procurement portals, commercial terms, margin analysis, and INCOTERMS; exposure to trade finance is a plus.
- Advanced Excel, solid Word/PowerPoint; CRM/ERP literacy.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- UAE driving license preferred.
- Languages: Fluent English; Arabic/Hindi/Urdu/Malayalam an advantage.
