Sales - Freight Forwarding

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales and expand our freight forwarding business in Delhi & Northern Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales Growth
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities in freight forwarding.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability goals.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, and industry engagement.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and account growth.
  • Acquire new customers by understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Establish long-term relationships with existing & new customers, driving repeat business.
  • Provide proactive solutions, resolve issues, and act as the key contact for customer satisfaction.

Sales Strategy & Market Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market share in targeted regions/sectors.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry forums to enhance brand visibility.

Negotiation & Contract Management

  • Negotiate freight rates, service contracts, and agreements with clients and service providers.
  • Ensure mutually beneficial commercial terms while protecting company interests.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, documentation, and customer service teams for smooth execution of shipments.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, carriers, and overseas agents to secure competitive rates and services.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue performance.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to management.
  • Track progress against sales KPIs and take corrective measures where needed.

Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to build at team to work under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong network and industry connections within the freight forwarding sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
