Job Description: Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight Forwarding)

Position: Sales Manager

Department: Sales & Business Development

Industry: Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean)

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

Reports to: Director / General Manager – Sales

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets in air and ocean freight forwarding services.

· Identify, pursue, and acquire new clients, focusing on both import and export markets.

· Maintain and grow business with existing customers through strong relationship management and account servicing.

· Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts tailored to customer requirements.

· Coordinate with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.

· Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and provide regular feedback to management.

· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

· Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, customs clearance, and international logistics.

· Proven track record in sales and business development within the freight forwarding industry.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

· Strong customer relationship management ability.

· Target-driven, proactive, and self-motivated.

· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple client requirements simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or related field.

· Minimum 5–7+ years of sales experience in the freight forwarding / logistics industry.

· Existing client base or strong industry network is an added advantage.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
