Sales Manager (Business Hotel, Gurgaon)

Position: Sales Manager

Location: Gurgaon, India

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports To: General Manager / Director of Sales

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing occupancy and room rates for the hotel by developing and managing corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), travel agent, and OTA accounts. The role requires strong local market knowledge of Gurgaon’s corporate hubs, ability to build long-term client relationships, and achieve both short-term and long-term revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, target, and acquire new corporate clients, SMEs, start-ups, and large companies in Gurgaon and NCR.
  • Develop and manage relationships with travel agents, event planners, and online travel platforms.
  • Generate business from MICE, weddings (if applicable), and long-stay guests.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and hotel site visits to promote facilities.

Revenue & Targets

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales & revenue goals (room nights, F&B banquets, conferencing).
  • Implement strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR.
  • Work closely with the revenue manager/GM to forecast demand and design promotional offers.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and ensure repeat business.
  • Handle corporate negotiations, RFPs, and contracting processes.
  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through proactive communication with corporate clients.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Conduct competitor analysis on pricing, promotions, and market share.
  • Identify new business trends, especially in Gurgaon’s IT parks, commercial zones (Golf Course Road, Cyber Hub, Sohna Road, Udyog Vihar, etc.).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, pipeline analysis, and business review presentations.

Teamwork & Coordination

Collaborate with F&B, Banquets, and Front Office teams to execute group bookings and events.

Support digital marketing initiatives and sales campaigns.

Train junior sales executives (if applicable).

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Proven track record in hotel/ hospitality sales in Gurgaon or NCR.

Knowledge of corporate travel policies and OTA contracting.

Result-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate/ Postgraduate in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or Marketing.
  • Minimum 3–6 years of sales experience in hotels, preferably business hotels in Gurgaon/ NCR.
  • Established client network in Gurgaon’s corporate sector (IT, consulting, manufacturing, start-ups).

Performance Metrics

Monthly room night targets achieved.

Growth in corporate account base and repeat business.

Revenue contribution from MICE/ Banquets.

Market share improvement vs competitors.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
