Position Title: Manager – Sales

Division: LAPL Lighting Division

Reports To: Head – Sales & Marketing / Business Head

Job Purpose

The Manager – Sales is responsible for driving business growth in the automotive lighting and components sector by managing and developing key accounts with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs such as Minda, Lumax, Honda, Hero, and other automotive manufacturers. The role involves achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective account management, business development, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and manage strategic customer accounts in Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs (Honda, Hero, etc.).

 Identify and pursue new business opportunities in automotive lighting and components.

 Drive RFQ/RFI processes, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts and commercial terms.

 Manage customer-specific requirements (CSRs) and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

 Build long-term relationships with procurement, R&D, and quality teams of OEMs and Tier-1s.

 Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Production, Quality, Purchase, Finance) to ensure on-time project delivery and customer support.

 Support new product development (NPD) projects by aligning with customer expectations and market trends.

 Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and provide market intelligence to management.

 Achieve sales revenue, profitability, and collection targets.

 Represent the company at customer meetings, reviews, and industry event

Skills & Competencies

 Strong understanding of automotive OEMs and Tier-1 supplier processes.

 Proven expertise in managing accounts such as Minda, Lumax, Honda, Hero, or similar customers.

 Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

 Customer relationship management (CRM) expertise with focus on long-term partnerships.

 Strong commercial and business acumen.

 Ability to handle project acquisition and customer escalations effectively.

 Ability to identify new markets and new product opportunities to expand business growth.

Qualification & Experience

 Graduate / Postgraduate in Engineering or Business Management.

 8–12 years of experience in automotive sales / key account management.

 Proven track record of working with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs (Honda, Hero, etc.).

 Prior experience in automotive lighting or components industry preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
