  • With the Director of Sales and Marketing, plan sales strategies and implement tactics to achieve the budget.
  • Establish new business and maintain existing business accounts through the preparation and execution of action plans
  • Handle accounts and prospects jointly with the team.
  • Solicit and close business according to established parameters.
  • Conduct familiarizations and site inspections.
  • Maintain a regular sales call pattern according to accounts management.
  • Monitor competitive set and communicate tactical changes to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Entertain prospects and existing key accounts with the view to sustain business and generate further sales.
  • Develop and maintain contact with business generators, meeting and convention planners, visitors and convention bureau travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, government departments and other producers closely allied to the hotel business.
  • Diagnose problems and thoroughly analyze information to guide decision making.
  • Evaluate and assimilate critical information when reaching conclusions and make logical, competent decisions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers and guests in order to anticipate their needs. Take action to address these needs in order to exceed their expectations.
  • Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of special programs and events in the hotel in order to recognize and respond to guests needs.
  • Maintain current hotel information to be able to provide information to guests.
  • Actively participate in and conduct organized meetings.
  • Establish action plans and schedules for meeting departmental priorities.
  • Assign responsibilities, allocate resources and coordinate the activities of yourself and others to meet objectives effectively and efficiently.
  • Build consensus for action and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Work with Director of Sales and Marketing to ensure a clear view of what is required to achieve results and take action and responsibility to deliver it.
  • Ensure your team deadlines are met and quality standards, tasks and projects are completed as required.
  • Work effectively with customers and colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.
