The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, developing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth, while aligning with Company’s objectives and vision. This role involves setting targets, managing client relationships, analyzing performance, and ensuring the sales team meets and/or exceeds business objectives.
Mandatory Requirements (Strictly Enforced):
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Sales Manager
- Proven success dealing exclusively with the government and semi-government entities (not in construction)
- Demonstrated track record of winning government tenders in IT, Oil & Gas, or Security sectors for last 3-5 years
- Strong market presence.
- In-depth knowledge of Qatar government procurement, tendering, and compliance procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and contract management skills
- Ability to independently manage the full sales and tender lifecycle
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets
- Set individual and team sales goals and monitor performance
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to align strategies
- Manage pricing, negotiations, and contract agreements
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle major client issues
- Monitor competitors’ activities and adjust strategies accordingly
- Lead government sales strategy for IT, Oil & Gas, and Security projects
- Identify upcoming government initiatives and convert them into awarded contracts
- Prepare, submit, and manage high-value tenders (RFPs, RFQs, RFPs)
- Represent the company in senior-level government meetings and negotiations
- Achieve aggressive revenue and growth targets
- Ensure full compliance with government contractual and regulatory requirements
Reporting Line
Reports directly to the General Manager
- Prepare and submit detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports to the General Manager
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue projections
- Present clear management dashboards covering turnover, pipeline value, tender status, and win ratios
- Ensure transparent reporting on government tenders, contract status, risks, and mitigation plans
- Support the General Manager with data-driven insights into strategic decision-making
- Maintain structured documentation and reporting in line with corporate governance and audit requirements
- Ensure timely escalation of critical issues, risks, or delays to senior management
