Precision Associates (PAI) is seeking a Sales & Marketing Intern who is eager to make an impact by supporting initiatives that drive growth, shape brand visibility, and strengthen relationships across PAI's global sealing solution and precision molded rubber products portfolio. This full-time, paid summer internship offers direct access to PAI's Executive Leadership team, hands-on involvement in high-value projects, and meaningful professional development in a manufacturing environment. The position is based at PAI's global headquarters in Northeast Minneapolis. The internship runs approximately May through August, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, and is 100% in-office.
What You'll Do
Sales Support
- Conduct daily prospect research and lead generation to expand new business opportunities
- Support outbound campaigns that align with strategic sales initiatives
- Prepare presentations, case studies, and marketing one-pagers / strategy guides
- Conduct competitor and market research to identify emerging opportunities
- Attend virtual and on-site sales meetings as required, gaining direct exposure to customers and strategy
Marketing Support
- Manage PAI's social media presence and contribute to content creation
- Work closely with PAI's outside marketing agency on campaigns, creative development, and digital initiatives
- Assist with email campaigns, list management, and automation workflows
- Update website content and assist with search engine optimization (SEO)
- Gather analytics and insights to measure campaign performance and recommend improvements
- Support planning and execution for tradeshows, events, and marketing promotions
- Attend virtual and on-site marketing events as required
Development & Exposure
You will not just observe, you will participate. This internship is designed to provide exposure to executive-level strategy and cross-functional collaboration.
- Shadow the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and learn from daily activities
- Participate in meetings and sessions with PAI's Executive Leadership team for mentorship and strategic insight
- Attend internal cross-functional meetings to understand how Sales, Engineering, and Operations collaborate to deliver customer success
Deliverables
By the conclusion of the internship, the Sales & Marketing Intern will complete the following measurable deliverables:
- 52-Week Social Media Content Plan
- Design and present a year-long posting calendar aligned with sales and brand objectives
- Recommend content themes, visuals, posting frequency, and engagement metrics
- Present your plan to the Sales & Marketing team for adoption
- Marketing Automation Improvement Plan
- Evaluate PAI's current automation and CRM usage
- Recommend data, workflow, and efficiency improvements based on industry best practices
- Deliver a prioritized roadmap with actionable steps and measurable outcomes
- Final Capstone Project and Presentation
- Summarize your contributions, findings, and insights from the summer
- Present key takeaways and recommendations to PAI's Executive Leadership team
- Showcase your project results and proposed next steps for continued global growth
Additional Opportunities
- Participate in weekly check-ins and performance feedback sessions with the VP of Sales & Marketing

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is strategically minded and tactically focused, takes initiative to move ideas into action, leverages personal strengths to elevate projects, brings fresh and creative perspectives to challenges, and recognizes opportunities to guide smart, strategic decisions.
Required
- College sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Ability to work onsite at PAI's global headquarters in Minneapolis Monday through Friday in a 100% in-office role, with regular and consistent attendance
- Strong written and verbal communication and engagement skills; this is a Sales and Marketing role
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization to be able to complete projects within timeframes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) to keep strong notes, analyze data, and design presentations
- Interest in manufacturing and industrial markets
- Required to quickly learn current ERP and marketing automation technology
- Experience using Canva for designing striking visual content
- Proficient in ChatGPT for drafting content, research, and communication support
- Familiar with LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for networking and business development outreach
Compensation
This is a paid internship offering $20 to $22 per hour, 40 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks during the summer term. Hourly rate is dependent on experience and expertise. All business expenses including any necessary travel will be covered directly by PAI.
