Sales Officer

A Sales Officer with a Mechanical Engineering background acts as a bridge between technical products/services and potential clients. You use your engineering expertise to understand customer needs, explain product benefits, and close sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Knowledge: Understand technical specifications of products (e.g., pumps, HVAC systems, machines, automotive parts).
  • Customer Interaction: Meet clients, assess their needs, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Technical Presentations: Explain how products work and how they solve specific problems.
  • Quotations & Negotiations: Prepare technical and commercial proposals; negotiate terms.
  • After-Sales Support: Help clients with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Market Research: Identify trends, competitors, and customer feedback.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve monthly/annually targets set by management.

Ideal Profile

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–5 years in technical sales, B2B sales, or industrial product sales.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and negotiation
  • Technical understanding of machinery or systems
  • CRM software experience (like Business Central)
  • Hindi and English communication is mandatory.
