Sales Representative – High-End Window Coverings
Northern California Field and showroom Based Sales
Seeking a driven, self-directed closer who thrives on building trust with affluent clients and turning qualified consultations into high-ticket wins.
Our established window coverings company specializes in premium, custom window coverings—blinds, shades, drapery, shutters, exterior products, and motorized systems. We work with homeowners, designers, builders and architects. Sonoma County Shade Company provides qualified, pre-vetted leads (many from repeat designer and contractor partners).
We’re looking for a true go-getter with a minimum 45% close rate. If you consistently achieve strong close rates on in-home consultations and love the thrill of landing and specifying projects, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home, showroom, and virtual consultations with high-end clients
- Present custom solutions, build rapport, handle objections, and close effectively
- Maintain disciplined, multi-touch follow-up to convert undecideds
- Manage your own pipeline with CRM tools—stay organized and proactive
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with repeat referral sources
What We’re Looking For
- Proven sales experience (3+ years preferred), ideally in home improvement, interior design products, luxury furnishings, or custom residential sales
- Demonstrated high close rate (minimum 45% close rate on qualified in-home appointments) Please be prepared to show examples.
- Ability to engage sophisticated clients (homeowners, designers, architects) and sell on value, not price
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with CRM / follow-up systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed) when not using our company sales van.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $50,000/year plus tiered commission on gross profit per sale with accelerators for higher margin jobs.
- Quarterly Close-Rate Bonuses: based on close-rate thresholds.
- Health benefits, 401(k) match, use of company sales van for sales calls and mileage reimbursement when needed.
- Samples, marketing support, and CRM provided
