Job Summary:
The Sales Support Associate will support the sales team by managing administrative tasks and coordinating activities that help move sales opportunities through the pipeline. This role prepares proposals and quotes, maintains accurate CRM records, and facilitates communication between the sales team and other departments. Additionally, the position helps keep the sales pipeline organized, prepares internal communications for newly sold jobs, and ensures required paperwork and documentation are properly collected and maintained. This role plays a key part in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process while providing general administrative support to the sales team as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creating proposals and quotes for clients
- Follow up with other teams (estimating, Operations, etc) as needed to move the sales process along
- Prompt sales team members to follow up with clients when appropriate
- Meeting scheduling
- Preparing various documents and documenting work
- Pipeline clean up for sales team members
- Vendor registrations
- Paperwork collection and coordination (creating folders, ensuring appropriate documents are in the folders)
- Build out opportunities in Salesforce CRM.
- Prepare communications for other departments for jobs sold (internally referred to as “Distro”)
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
- Other tasks to support the Sales Team as needed
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in sales support
- Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close.
- Ability to work independently with personal accountability.
- Ability to professionally interact with clients and staff along with the ability to build relationships.
- Attention to detail
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
- CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
