We are currently seeking a motivated Salon Assistant to support our stylists, maintain salon flow, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit.
- Assist stylists with day-to-day tasks including shampooing, treatments, rough-drying, sectioning, and basic support work.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all salon areas (stations, basins, equipment, towels, colour bar, back of house).
- Prepare styling tools, colour bowls, foils and towels as needed for stylists.
- Support the front-of-house team by helping manage client movement between services.
- Restock products, colour supplies and backbar items.
- Follow all education, hygiene and salon protocols to Tara Rose standards.
- Ensure each treatment area is set up correctly and cleared promptly after use.
- Assist with refreshments and client comfort. Work collaboratively with the full team to keep the salon running smoothly.
Requirements:
- Previous salon experience is preferred but not essential.
- Passion for the hair industry and a desire to grow into a stylist role.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, positive and professional attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organisation and detail. Ability to stand for long periods and manage physically demanding tasks.
