SAP Basis Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize our critical SAP system landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise across various SAP technologies, including SAP HANA and NetWeaver , coupled with strong database administration and troubleshooting skills. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of our SAP environments to support core business operations.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Maintenance:

• Perform comprehensive SAP Basis administration tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and system refreshes across diverse SAP environments
• Ensure the optimal performance and availability of all SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ERP, SCM, BW, and any associated SAP Cloud solutions
  
  

Database Management:

• Manage and maintain underlying database platforms (HANA, Oracle, SQL) including performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and database-level troubleshooting
  
  

System Landscape Management:

• Administer and manage the entire system landscape, including the Transport Management System (TMS), ensuring proper change control and execution of system changes via the Change Request Management (ChaRM) process
  
  

Monitoring & Performance:

• Utilize system monitoring tools (such as SAP Solution Manager) for proactive monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity planning
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the SAP systems, operating systems, and database layers with excellent troubleshooting skills
  
  

Security & Compliance:

• Maintain system security by managing user access, roles, and profiles and ensuring compliance with established policies and audit requirements
  
  

Collaboration & Support:

• Collaborate effectively with developers, functional teams, IT operations, and various stakeholders to support projects, resolve incidents, and implement new solutions
• Provide expert guidance and support for technical issues, often working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and support with a strong understanding of SAP
  
  

environments.

• Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, including SAP HANA, NetWeaver, Cloud solutions and various database platforms
• Experience with database administration (HANA, Oracle, SQL) and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of system landscapes, transport management systems, and change request
• Experience with system monitoring tools and performance analysis (such as SAP Solution Manager)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
• SAP certifications in Basis or related areas are a plus
