SAP Data Migration Manager

Accenture is seeking a hands-on SAP Data Migration Manager to support a major SAP transformation program. This role will lead the day-to-day execution of data migration activities across several workstreams, including Human Capital Management (HCM) (SuccessFactors, Concur), Supply Chain Management (SCM) (S/4HANA, Ariba, MDG, OpenText), and Finance (FIN) (S/4HANA, MDG).

The SAP Data Migration Manager will collaborate closely with our third-party migration partner (Syniti), client business stakeholders, Accenture functional teams, and the BCG PMO to ensure data readiness, quality, and the successful migration of legacy data into the new SAP landscape. This delivery-focused role requires strong coordination skills, a sound technical understanding of SAP data structures, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day data migration lifecycle, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading across HCM, SCM, and FIN domains.

• Serve as the key interface between Syniti, business data owners, Accenture functional teams, and the BCG PMO.

• Support business stakeholders in executing data cleansing, enrichment, mapping validation, and approval tasks.

• Coordinate and manage mock data loads, validations, and reconciliations during test cycles and final cutover.

• Track and resolve data-related issues, defects, and action items, escalating critical items as necessary.

• Maintain and update data trackers, cleansing reports, mapping documentation, validation scripts, and reconciliation logs.

• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, defect triage sessions, and cross-functional workshops to ensure alignment and progress.

• Ensure that all data loads meet defined data quality standards, mapping rules, and business validation criteria.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in SAP data migration projects, particularly within S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and/or Ariba environments.

• Strong technical understanding of SAP data structures across HCM, SCM (including OpenText), and FIN domains.

• Experience working with third-party migration vendors (e.g., Syniti) and familiarity with data migration tools and accelerators.

• Proficiency with SAP BODS, LTMC, LSMW, MDG workflows, and/or Syniti ADM platforms.

• Ability to effectively engage with business SMEs for data mapping, validation, and cleansing efforts.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and coordination capabilities.

• Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) for validation and reconciliation tasks.

• Clear and confident communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
