SAP FICO Associate Manager Consultant - (GL)

Job Description:
Accenture is seeking an experienced SAP GL Specialist to play a key role in the SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation Program, supporting the modernization of General Ledger (GL) processes. This hands-on role is responsible for driving SAP GL solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment in alignment with business requirements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. The SAP GL Specialist will leverage deep functional expertise in SAP FI-GL to deliver scalable and compliant solutions while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and testing of SAP GL functionalities, including Chart of Accounts, Ledger Setup, Journal Entry Processing, Period-End Closing, Intercompany Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting.

• Work directly with Finance Process Owners to translate detailed business requirements into scalable SAP GL solutions that align with SAP S/4HANA best practices and local regulatory requirements.

• Perform hands-on configuration activities in the system, supporting system builds, master data setup, and business rules for GL postings and validations.

• Design and execute test strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), creating test scripts, managing defect resolution, and ensuring system stability ahead of go-live.

• Support data migration for GL master and transactional data, ensuring mapping accuracy, reconciliation of balances, and full alignment with legacy systems.

• Collaborate with third-party implementation partners and technical teams to resolve complex system issues, focusing on FI-GL configurations, postings, and period-end closing processes.

• Ensure adherence to financial controls, compliance standards, and SAP governance frameworks throughout implementation and cutover phases.

• Maintain detailed documentation of GL process flows, configuration settings, functional specifications, and data mapping templates.

• Actively participate in cross-functional workshops, governance meetings, and decision forums to ensure alignment and drive issue resolution.
