SAP FICO Lead (Finance & Controlling)
Job Summary
The SAP FICO Lead is responsible for leading the Finance and Controlling (FICO) stream of SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role ensures that all finance-related modules — including Assets, Accruals, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Contract Accounting (FICA), Advanced Financial Closing, Parallel Accounting, and Dunning — are implemented successfully and aligned with both IFRS standards and KSA regulatory requirements.
The FICO Lead will act as the primary point of contact for Finance process owners, auditors, and IT teams, ensuring robust financial operations, accurate reporting, and compliance throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO) modules.

Manage Assets & Accruals processes, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and compliance.

Oversee Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable operations, integrating with Procurement and Sales.

Implement Contract Accounting (FICA) for industry-specific billing and receivables scenarios.

Lead the adoption of SAP Advanced Financial Closing for group-wide central closing processes.

Ensure Parallel Accounting setup to handle IFRS, KSA GAAP, and other reporting standards.

Oversee Centralized Dunning to optimize receivables management.

Work with auditors and regulators to ensure financial controls and compliance.

Provide expertise in finance integration with MM, SD, HCM, and PS modules.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to streamline closing processes and reduce manual effort.

Support data migration for Finance objects (GL balances, vendor, customer, asset master data).

Train and mentor the Finance team on SAP FICO functionalities and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.

Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred.

SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Finance.
Experience
-
10+ years of Finance & Controlling experience.
-
Minimum 2–3 full-cycle SAP FICO implementation projects.

Proven experience in Asset Accounting, AP, AR, FICA, and Financial Closing.

Experience in Parallel Accounting (IFRS, Local GAAP, Tax).
-
Strong exposure to Middle East/KSA finance regulations and compliance.
Technical & Functional Skills
-
Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO).

Knowledge of SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC).
-
Experience in Contract Accounting (FICA) processes.
-
Strong integration knowledge across MM, SD, HCM, PS.
-
Familiarity with Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Dunning.

Ability to configure financial close automation and reporting.
-
Strong understanding of ZATCA (Saudi e-invoicing) and regulatory requirements.
