SAP Sales and Marketing Executive

Role Overview

The SAP Business One Sales & Marketing Executive is responsible for driving new customer acquisition, managing SAP B1 cloud subscription sales, and promoting Data Centre hosting services (private cloud, managed hosting, backup, DR solutions). This role blends ERP sales expertise with cloud-infrastructure knowledge to support customers adopting SAP B1 on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Business One Sales

  • Generate new leads for SAP Business One (On-Cloud & On-Prem) through market research, networking, and campaigns.
  • Conduct requirement gathering calls, product positioning, and scoping discussions with clients.
  • Present SAP Business One demos (functional overviews, modules, add-ons, dashboards).
  • Prepare proposals, commercial quotes, ROI presentations, and pricing for SAP B1.
  • Coordinate with pre-sales consultants and implementation teams for solution design.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation → qualification → proposal → negotiation → closing.

2. Cloud / Data Centre Sales

  • Promote cloud hosting offerings:
  • SAP B1 on Private Cloud
  • Managed Data Centre Hosting
  • Server Virtualization
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • High Availability (HA) infrastructure
  • Understand client infrastructure requirements (RAM/CPU/SLA/storage/network).
  • Work with the cloud technical team to build customized hosting packages.
  • Educate clients on benefits: scalability, OPEX model, uptime, and security.

3. Marketing & Branding

  • Plan and execute digital marketing strategies for SAP B1 and cloud solutions.
  • Work with the marketing team to create brochures, content, case studies, and campaigns.
  • Run email campaigns, LinkedIn promotions, and webinar events for lead generation.
  • Maintain CRM database, track funnel progress, and report lead metrics.

4. Account Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Upsell/cross-sell add-ons, integrations, mobility apps, and cloud enhancements.
  • Handle customer queries, coordinate demos, follow-ups, and closure meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience in ERP sales, preferably SAP Business One.
  • Understanding of cloud/data centre services (hosting, VMs, backup, DR).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer business processes (Finance, Sales, Inventory, Production).
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.

Good to Have

  • SAP B1 certification (Sales/Pre-Sales).
  • Knowledge of competitors (Tally Prime Server, Zoho ERP, Odoo, Dynamics 365).
  • Background in SaaS or IT Infrastructure sales.
  • Technical awareness of Windows/Linux servers, VMs, SQL/HANA sizing, firewall basics.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly/Quarterly SAP B1 sales targets.
  • Cloud / hosting subscription revenue.
  • Lead conversion rate.
  • Pipeline development & new customer acquisition.
  • Customer retention & upsell revenue.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing (preferred).
