Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead Client Engagements: Drive end-to-end consulting engagements across the oil & gas value chain (upstream/midstream/downstream, and/or petrochemicals), focusing on strategy, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.
Business Process & Operating Model Design: Analyze and document current business processes; define functional requirements; design future-state operating models, supply chain frameworks, and process improvements aligned to client needs.
Industry Expertise & Growth Strategy: Demonstrate deep industry knowledge of oil & gas operations, value chains, and emerging sector trends; leverage insights to shape client strategies and contribute to the growth of the consulting practice by identifying new opportunities.
Business Development & Revenue Growth: Carry revenue responsibility with defined quotas; initiate and manage CXO-level conversations, qualify leads, respond to RFPs, design solutions, and create new business opportunities within assigned accounts or territories.
Client Relationship Management: Operate in client-facing roles across global markets, navigating diverse cultural contexts, building trusted relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Delivery Leadership: Manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations while creating measurable business impact.
Team Development & Mentorship: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior consultants and analysts; foster capability building and knowledge sharing within the practice.
Global Exposure & Travel: Work with international clients and stakeholders; demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel extensively and spend extended periods at client sites to deliver projects effectively.
Priority Skills:
Upstream/Downstream Fundamentals and/or Energy Consulting
Essential Qualifications
11–16 years of relevant experience in the Energy sector (Upstream/Refining/Petrochemicals etc.), with at least 4 years in a consulting firm
Strong domain expertise across the oil and gas value chain, with a strong focus on both/either upstream (E&P, drilling, well operations) and downstream (refining, petrochemicals, supply chain) domains.
Proven understanding of operations and processes including well integrity, HSE, materials management, reliability, refining operations, maintenance, downstream supply chain, blending, recipe management, and process optimization
Demonstrated track record in digital transformation initiatives, leveraging analytics, data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), and emerging technologies (AI/ML) to drive efficiency, safety, and business outcomes
Experience in commercial, regulatory, and business aspects of petroleum development and refined/petchem products (sales, marketing, customer value management, route-to-market strategies)
Strong consulting background with expertise in business development activities including client pitches, RFP responses, proposal development, and solution design
Proven leadership experience in managing teams (5+ resources), developing consulting practices, and engaging with clients across the full project lifecycle (inception, sales, delivery, implementation)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a track record of solving complex business issues and delivering measurable client impact
Preferable Qualifications:
MBA or graduate-level degree in related field
Driven; enjoys a challenge, proven ability to adapt and remove obstacles to achieve results, determined and optimistic.
Experience in operating model design, strategy formulation, digital transformation, Beneficiary experience, impact assessment, monitoring, and evaluation.
Strong organizational and analytical skills
