SCAFFOLDING SUPERVISOR

1. Allocate work to each of his subordinates, explaining the requirements in detail whenever necessary, to achieve the completion of the work schedule laid down by his supervisor.
2. Demonstrate work methods when necessary and from time to time actually performs critical tasks which his subordinate craftsmen/workers do not have the skill or experience to perform. Makes sketches for instructional purpose.
3. Participate in the training and development of subordinates.
4. Supervisor the work in progress to ensure that it is being done correctly and safely, guarding against waste of materials and man-hours of work. In this context the foreman has to pay particular attendance and punctuality of his crew.
5. Ensure that his subordinates are properly equipped and that the tools issued or allocated to his crew is correctly used and is maintained in a safe and effective condition.
6. Under the overall supervision, of Barge Superintendent, is responsible for the good house-keeping of his site so that it is safe both his crew and others needing access to it.
7. Investigate any grievances of his subordinates in order to try to determine the real cause of difficulties and represent them to his supervisor for handling as appropriate.

• QUALIFICATIONS: • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • All offshore safety training requirements
  • Able to read and write reports on various work related activities.
  • 8-10 years experience in the field of offshore scaffolding activities.
