Job Description
Schedules patients for procedures and ensures accurate demographic, insurance, and relevant clinical information is collected and verified. Verifies the accuracy of orders and scans them into the medical record. Calls patients to complete appointment scheduling. Works with teams to develop and execute initiatives to improve customer service. Meets and exceeds department and personnel performance standards. Demonstrates and promotes high standards for quality and productivity, focusing on improving results. Monitors and handles STAT requests immediately. Facilitates editors by ensuring pended reports are available for early morning surgeries and requests. Manages all changes and corrections to documents received from HIM. Performs other related office duties, answers telephones, and acts as receptionist. Assists in training and mentoring new associates to uphold quality standards. Other duties as assigned.
