Job Overview

We are looking for full-time Schooler Teachers who will be responsible for planning and leading engaging educational and recreational activities for school-age children. This role focuses on creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that encourages academic support, social development, and positive behavior.

You will supervise children before and after school, assist with homework, and work closely with staff and parents to support each child’s growth and well-being.

Our center operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 am – 6:30 pm.

As a Teacher, you will be responsible for:

Activity Planning: Create and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities for school-age children

Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized environment. Manage behavior and encourage positive interactions, teamwork, and independence

Homework Support: Assist children with homework and provide academic support as needed

Assessment: Monitor children’s progress and behavior, providing feedback to parents and adapting approaches when needed

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, sharing updates on daily activities and any concerns

Collaboration: Work with team members to support children’s overall well-being and participate in ongoing training

Safety: Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, following all licensing regulations and company policies

Transportation (if applicable): Assist with or drive for school pick-up/drop-off as required

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for a Schooler Teacher will have:

● A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, OR a high school diploma, OR a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

● 2–3 years of experience working with school-age children in a childcare setting

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families

● Knowledge of child development and best practices for school-age programs

● Ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

● A passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality care

● Ability and willingness to drive a van

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
