Scrum Master

About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in fintech to drive agile delivery across our cross-functional product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial technologies, agile frameworks, and the dynamics of scaling complex digital products in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You will act as a servant leader and agile coach, ensuring that teams deliver high-quality software that meets business goals — on time, within scope, and with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to ensure clear prioritization and alignment of sprint goals.
• Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes.
• Ensure adherence to agile principles and best practices across teams.
• Reporting on project status/health to senior stakeholders via dashboards and reports.
• Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
• Track and analyze sprint metrics (velocity, burn-downs, cycle time) to help teams improve efficiency and predictability.
• Guide teams in adopting agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana) and techniques that best fit fintech product cycles.
• Collaborate closely with compliance, security, and data teams to ensure agile delivery within fintech regulatory frameworks (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI-DSS).
• Support multiple squads working on payments, digital banking, lending, or financial data products.
• Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders in agile mindset and practices.
• Manage portfolios including multiple projects at any given time providing oversight and bridge between cross-functional products and teams
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I/II) or equivalent agile certification.
• 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in agile software development environments.
• Proven experience working in fintech, digital banking, payments, or financial SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and DevOps practices.
• Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with distributed or cross-functional teams.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using delivery metrics to drive improvement.
• Any exposure to AI product releases would be a massive plus for this role
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a scale-up or startup fintech environment.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance processes in financial software delivery.
• Experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, Azure DevOps, Asana or similar.
• Prior exposure to API-driven architectures, payment gateways, or core banking systems.
