A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Director is fully responsible for the development of the GCE Team and the design of the marketing and sales strategies it uses to increase revenue. 
 
 
What will I be doing? 
As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Director, you are fully responsible for the development of the Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Team and the design of the marketing and sales strategies it uses to increase revenue. The Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Director will promote the services and facilities of the cluster Hotels to all customers and Guests and cross sell the other products within the Hilton family of brands when appropriate. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
<ul><li>Analyse competitors' activities and pricing strategies</li>
<li>Maximise occupancy and average rates through well-executed inventory and yield management control</li>
<li>Identify the most profitable services that the hotel can deliver with quality and most profitably</li>
<li>Maximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities</li>
<li>Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets</li>
<li>Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments' adherence to achieving that strategy</li>
<li>Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market</li>
<li>Ensure the Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts</li>
<li>Manage and develop the GCE Sales Team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively</li>

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:<ul>
<li>Knowledge of the hotel property management systems</li>
<li>Previous experience in the same or similar role</li>
<li>Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution</li></ul>

Job Description 
The Job description includes but not limited to the below:<ul><li>
Conduct site visits, FAM trips, sales trips as required based on business requirements and pro-active targets.</li><li>
Responsible for the promotion and sales of all products of the hotel, including but not limited to rooms, catering, banquets, etc.</li><li>
Complete sales targets and related tasks set by the hotel.</li><li>
Develop sales plans and obtain approval from the Director of Sales, maintaining and developing customers in the region or industry according to the plan.</li><li>
Understand customer needs through telephone sales, face-to-face visits and other forms, achieving sales.</li><li>
Produce quotations efficiently, send contracts to customers and follow-up promptly.</li><li>
Show clients around the hotel.</li><li>
Operate the hotel reservation system to book rooms, banquet venues, etc.</li><li>
Send the team&rsquo;s work order promptly and ensure that the relevant departments receive relevant information.</li><li>
Establish a good relationship with customers, maintaining the update of customer information and promptly report customer needs and feedback to the hotel.</li><li>
Recommend other hotel chains within the group to clients.</li><li>
Proactively collect market and industry information to share with other members of the Sales team to capture business opportunities and ultimately convert to business confirmations.</li><li>
Ensure effective communication between the Sales team and the hotel Operations team through regular meetings and assist the Banquet Sales or Operations department to follow-up on events occurring during the banquet or meeting.</li><li>
Handle guest feedback or complaints.</li><li>
Maximise sales at all times and effectively forecast team and banquet revenue.</li><li>
Provide necessary supervision and guidance to the Sales Director or sales representative as needed in developing team quotes or contracts.</li><li>
Actively participate in the development of marketing plans and collaborate to achieve budgets.</li><li>
Assist the Director of Sales to allocate daily work effectively according to the Sales team structure.</li><li>
Coach the Sales team to always ensure that quality services and products are delivered to customers.</li><li>
Lead the Sales team to achieve departmental goals.</li><li>
Assist the Director of Sales in recruiting, selecting and training employees to maintain team vitality and stability.</li><li>
Conscientiously perform assigned tasks and special tasks.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
<ul><li>
University degree.</li><li>
Strong understanding of the sales segment</li><li>
5 years or above hotel sales and related experience (preferably in a resort).</li><li>
Fluent English is a must</li><li>
Good communication, organisation and presentation skills.</li><li>
Able to work under strong pressure.</li><li>
Understand international customers and have strong market analysis ability.</li><li>
