 As a Trial Attorney at our firm, your responsibilities will include:

General Description:
The Criminal Prosecutions Bureau of the Cook County State&rsquo;s Attorney Office is seeking an entry level Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney in the Criminal Misdemeanors (City or Suburban), Domestic Violence Misdemeanors (City or Suburban), Felony Review, Juvenile Justice (Delinquency), and Traffic units.
Duties/Responsibilities:

<li>Will be required to manage misdemeanor and traffic caseloads, as well as handle preliminary hearings, grand jury indictments, and bond hearings</li>

<li>Work well with people from diverse communities, work independently, have excellent time management skills and be self-initiating</li>

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>Must have 1 or more years of criminal law experience</li>

Working Environment:
In this role, the Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney will be assigned to cover geographical areas (i.e. Chicago, Suburban Courthouses, etc.) in Cook County. The Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney will be prosecuting under the Criminal Code of the State of Illinois. The Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney will be required to manage misdemeanor and traffic caseloads. The Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney will be expected to work closely with multiple law enforcement agencies and represent the People of the State of Illinois in hearings and trials. The Assistant State&rsquo;s Attorney must be able to work well with people from diverse communities, work independently, have excellent time management skills and be self-initiating. Physical Requirements:
Light work. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Counsel in Legal as part of the Regulatory Initiatives Team Section of the Public, Regulatory and Corporate Division of the Legal Department. For additional information on this line of business, refer to the external Careers Site at Wellsfargo.com/career. 
 
This role will be supporting activities relating to the company's engagement efforts on Digital Assets, Payment Stablecoins, blockchains, distributed ledger technology (DLT) and Cryptocurrencies, and related items (including items that may relate to legislative advocacy, regulatory developments and rules, and external communications). The successful candidate will have strong legal research and analysis skills, be familiar with the regulatory rulemaking process, and an appreciation for risk management in relation to Wells Fargo's compliance with laws, regulations and rules.
 
 
In this role, you will:<ul><li>
Research and analyze laws, regulations, and rules to assess applicability to Wells Fargo</li><li>
Provide legal advice related to various rulemakings and other regulatory activities, including advocacy through trade organizations, for areas of critical importance to the bank, including novel areas of law
</li><li>Instruct and liaise with outside counsel as required</li><li>
Provide guidance to management on legal and regulatory matters impacting business strategy and policy or claims against the Company</li><li>
Proactively identify policy, legal, and regulatory matters pertaining to area of expertise, and evaluate the legal risk and impact</li><li>
Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet deliverables</li><li>
Exercise considerable discretion and may serve as the primary legal contact for assigned clients</li><li>
Collaborate within the department and across business and staff functions to address legal and risk issues in a manner consistent with the best interests of Wells Fargo</li><li>
Coach, mentor, and provide oversight for less experienced attorneys or staff</li><li>
Lead initiatives of varying scope and complexity</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
4+ years of Law experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education</li><li>
Active State Bar membership</li></ul>
Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>
3+ years of practicing as an attorney with a major law firm, banking regulatory agency, or in-house law department</li><li>
2+ years of experience advising complex financial institutions on regulatory matters</li><li>
Familiarity with digital assets, blockchains, cryptocurrencies, and traditional securities, payments, and/or commodities law</li><li>
Experience analyzing novel legal and regulatory issues in area of practice and providing effective counsel to clients on complex legal matters</li><li>
Ability to work and influence successfully within a heavily matrixed environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members</li><li>
Experience working with changing priorities and deadlines</li><li>
Preferred in-house experience at a large financial firm or experience at a federal bank regulatory agency</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-moving environment with a high degree of collaboration</li><li>
Strong organizational and project management skills</li><li>
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
