</p><p>The Audit Attorney plays a critical role in the Firm's process in responding to requests from its clients' auditors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b></p><ul><li>
Review audit requests, determine billing, review timekeepers' records, and gather necessary documents including legal files, corporate records, SEC filings, etc., to complete audits.</li><li>
Communicate with accountants, clients, the Firm's Audit Committee, the Firm's General Counsel's office, billing and/or timekeepers regarding the specifics of an audit response.</li><li>
Use iManage, InTapp, and other Firm software, create Audit Request Forms and notations while working with various departments, legal assistants, paralegals, etc. for information, and monitor responses for corrections and testing.</li><li>
Monitor timekeeper responses, revise content as needed and obtain clarification or additional information as needed.</li><li>
Draft and revise audit letters to comply with the Firm's risk/audit letter policies and procedures.</li><li>
Work with the relationship and/or reviewing attorneys to review drafts and make necessary revisions and finalize and send audit responses.</li><li>
Assist with other matters as requested by the Firm's Corporate and Securities Practice Group.</li></ul><p><b>
QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p>
The Audit Attorney must have a minimum of 5 years of corporate experience, inclusive of responding to requests from auditors. A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license in Illinois, New York or Ohio is required. The Audit Attorney must have strong familiarity with the audit process from start to finish and should be proficient in using iManage, InTapp, or similar programs, and MS Office. The Audit Attorney must be skilled at clearly articulating complex legal matters and issues and understanding the underlying principles in responding to clients' requests for information for their auditors. The Audit Attorney should possess a professional demeanor with outstanding interpersonal and client service skills, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and effective task prioritization.</p><p></p><p><br>

<p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p>
<p>Light work. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.  What You'll Do
 <p>
  As a Trial Attorney at our firm, your responsibilities will include:
 </p>
 <ul>
  <li>
   <p>
    <strong>
     Managing a High-Volume Caseload:
    </strong>
    &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll oversee approximately 150 cases, with around 50 actively in litigation each month, guiding each from intake through settlement or jury verdict.
   </p>
  </li>

   <p>
    <strong>
     Engaging with Clients:
    </strong>
    &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll maintain proactive and transparent communication, ensuring clients are informed and supported throughout the legal process.
   </p>
  </li>

   <p>

     Conducting Key Litigation Activities:
    </strong>
    &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll conduct depositions, draft and respond to motions, lead mediations, and develop comprehensive case strategies.
   </p>

     Advocating in Trials:
    </strong>
    &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll serve as lead counsel in jury trials, advocating passionately to secure favorable outcomes for our clients.

  What You Need
 </strong>
 <ul>

   <p>
    <strong>
     Legal Accumen:
    </strong>
    Licensed to practice law; trial advocacy and/or moot court experience strongly preferred
   </p>
  </li>

     Licensure:
    </strong>
    Active and in good standing with the your local State Bar. Multiple state bar admissions are preferred. Most be currently located in the state where this job is posted.&nbsp;

    &nbsp;Exceptional ability to articulate case strategies and engage effectively with clients and team members.

    , reflecting the high value we place on your expertise and contributions. The starting base for this early career position will most likely be located closer to $80-100k.&nbsp;
