 The Banquet Supervisor will assist and support the Assistant Banquet Manager with the day to day running of the Banquet operation to ensure a consistently high level of service is being offered and delivered to guests.

OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:
Accountable for the overall success of the Banquets Department. Demonstrates knowledge by leading the team to accomplish daily goals. Ensures the highest level of service by training and developing staff and executing the requirements of events based on standards. Drives customer satisfaction and capitalizes on revenue during the event phase of a function. Provides clear and concise communications to everyone having ownership in the success of the event. Monitors and controls financial and administrative responsibilities to meet or exceed department goals. 
CANDIDATE PROFILE 
Education and Experience
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.</li></ul>
OR
<ul><li>2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.</li></ul> 
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 
Managing Banquet Operations
<ul><li>Projects supply needs for the department, (e.g., china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, props).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Applies knowledge of all laws, as they relate to an event.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Uses banquet beverage &ldquo;Use&rdquo; records to control liquor costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensures accurate customer billing for banquet events.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensures coordination and execution throughout the event.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attends pre-conference meetings to ensure specifications of the group event are well executed.</li></ul>

 lays a vital role in preparing, supervising, and presenting high-quality dishes for banquets, functions, and off-site catering events. This role requires consistency, creativity, and strong organizational skills, while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.
 
 
 Responsibilities:

 Prepare, cook, and present dishes for banquets and outside catering in line with The Ned&rsquo;s luxury standards.

 Assist in the daily operations of banquet and catering kitchens, ensuring smooth execution of events.

 Supervise and guide Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs in the team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain quality, taste, and presentation across all large-scale menus.

 Collaborate with the Events and F&amp;B teams to ensure flawless service and guest satisfaction.

Job Description 
<ul><li>
Coordinate all Restaurants / Banquet / food production, and all specific duties to chefs and other staff under his/her supervision</li><li>
Check all set-ups for restaurant and banquet functions. Responsible for the correct timing during service and that food served is always of the highest standards</li><li>
Monitor and implement portion control established with the recipe cards and the butcher test; minimise waste and spoilage</li><li>
Check stores and refrigerators and oversee proper storage and recycling of leftovers</li><li>
Ensure effective communication among the kitchens and with other department</li><li>
Work closely with receiving and storeroom to ensure received goods meet Hotel&rsquo;s quality standards specifications</li><li>
Supervise food tasting sessions and guide chefs for new menu implementation</li><li>
Attend meetings with Executive Chef to discuss future business strategy and review ongoing action plan progress, and other departmental meetings as required</li><li>
Update menu recipe cards and menu planning for promotions</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
<ul><li>
Previous Chef de Cuisine experience in management capacity in a 5 star or Luxury property is required.</li><li>
Must have strong culinary experience (international preferred)</li><li>
Preferably with Culinary Degree/Diploma</li><li>
Certification in HACCP Level-3 Food Safety Management procedures &amp; guidelines</li><li>
Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.</li><li>
Great leadership and communication skills</li><li>
Oral and written fluency in English</li></ul>
