This is a Consultant Physician position responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Cancer Institute at CCAD. We are seeking a physician with a strong background in preventive health, specifically in the management of patients at high risk for cancers, to join the Cancer Institute.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Physician responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provide personalized medical care focused on cancer prevention, and wellness optimization.</li><li>
Understanding of risk estimation models for risk stratification purposes</li><li>
Understanding in requesting and interpreting germline genetic cancer panels
</li><li>Manage and monitor high-risk patients to personalize precision prevention strategies using NCCN, ACMG and other guidelines
</li><li>Oversee comprehensive medical assessments, diagnostics, and integrative care plans.</li><li>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists in oncology, nutrition, genetic counselling, and other subspecialties.
</li><li>Guide patients through advanced screening, early detection, and lifestyle-based intervention strategies.</li><li>
Contribute to program development in precision and longevity medicine research</li><li>
Evaluates patients and records applicable notes about patients&rsquo; condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and/or making a possible referral to another member of the health care medical staff team</li><li>
Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment</li><li>
Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner</li><li>
Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines</li><li>

For Physicians from Tier 1 countries, not less than two (2) years additional experience post qualification in managing complex and high-risk medical cases.</li><li>
For Physicians from Tier 2 countries, not less than five (5) years additional experience post qualification in managing complex and high-risk medical cases.</li><li>
Demonstrated interest or certification in Genomics Cancer Risk Assessment
</li><li>Must hold a valid License/ Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of health care professionals</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff</li><li>
