Job Description:
TSM is seeking a full-time Temporary Procurement Specialist to serve as a contracting officer responsible for federal procurement activities. <ul><li>Serve as a contracting officer responsible for purchasing consumable and automation supplies, equipment, and services.
</li><li>Process purchase orders for goods and services from government and nongovernment sources using the judiciary's financial management system.

</li><li>Document receipt of goods and services, including coordinating with property officers for tagging, inventory, and delivery for accountable property.

Experience Requirements:
<ul><li>5 years progressively responsible federal contracting experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.</li>

<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite of software applications (e.g Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Outlook) to create and maintain documents and communications.</li>
<li>Documented ability to maintain and practice operational security (OPSEC) in the performance of daily duties and to report OPSEC issues or concerns.</li>
<li>Proven ability to interpret and apply procurement and transparency regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and/or other similar agency-specific procurement and transparency regulations.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of analytical and qualitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate, and propose the use of appropriate strategies and solutions to resolve complex or interrelated FOIA problems and issues.</li>
<li>Experience reviewing contract files or other government documentation.</li>
<li>Experience developing documentation required to respond to FOIA requests.</li>
<li>Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong analytical and organizational skills and abilities</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience reviewing spreadsheets and documents in various formats such as those created and maintained in Microsoft Office products.</li>
<li>Documented ability to apply different strategies when analyzing information to make reasonable inferences or draw well-supported conclusions.</li>
<li>Experience managing procurement sensitive, law enforcement sensitive, or other secure information is preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledge of and experience using government contract-writing software, such as PRISM, is preferred.</li>
</ul>
</li></ul>In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, the Government will accept six (6) years of experience in the Federal procurement or privacy sphere as denoted in the remaining bullet points.
