 About the Role
 
 
 
 This Data Analyst position is a full-time, remote opportunity focused on supporting data-driven decision-making within the renewable energy sector. The role is designed for professionals at the mid-career level who are passionate about leveraging data to drive operational efficiency, sustainability, and business growth. The analyst will play a pivotal role in collecting, processing, and interpreting large datasets related to renewable energy production, consumption, and market trends, directly impacting strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Collect, clean, and validate large volumes of data from diverse sources, including IoT devices, SCADA systems, energy market feeds, and internal business systems.

 Analyze energy production, consumption, and efficiency metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization within renewable energy operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to define data requirements and deliver actionable insights that support project planning and performance monitoring.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing key insights, forecasts, and recommendations for senior management and cross-functional teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques to forecast energy output, demand, and market fluctuations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the renewable energy sector.
 </li>
 <li>
 Continuously monitor data quality and implement improvements to data collection and processing workflows.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and renewable energy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the development and automation of data pipelines and ETL processes to streamline data availability and reporting.
 </li>

 Required Experience &amp; Skills
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the energy, utilities, or environmental sectors, with a strong understanding of renewable energy concepts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (pandas, NumPy), and Excel for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated ability to create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of data cleaning, validation, and transformation techniques to ensure high data quality and reliability.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with large datasets from IoT devices, sensors, or SCADA systems is highly desirable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with predictive analytics, forecasting models, and statistical methods relevant to energy production and consumption.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements in the energy sector.

 Qualifications

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

 Professional certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or renewable energy analytics are advantageous.

 <li>
 2+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in the energy or sustainability sectors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated track record of delivering actionable insights and supporting business decision-making through data.
 </li>
