El Barman tendr&aacute; las habilidades b&aacute;sicas, pero constantemente buscar&aacute; nuevas tendencias del mercado, y entender las necesidades del hu&eacute;sped como van evolucionando. No es &uacute;nicamente una persona que se anima para el mundo de bebidas; sino que el anfitri&oacute;n del bar. El Barman sale del bar mismo para tomar responsabilidad personal para la experiencia directa del hu&eacute;sped. Utilizar&aacute; su sabidur&iacute;a y esfuerzo para lograr la perfecci&oacute;n del bar en cuanto a su aspecto y funci&oacute;n. Establecer&aacute; relaciones con otros dentro del hotel, igual que dentro de la comunidad misma. Debe mostrar una pasi&oacute;n para la experiencia de cada hu&eacute;sped, con ojo en los detalles-del dinero que pase por sus manos, la informaci&oacute;n que provee a los hu&eacute;spedes, y orgullo para la calidad de sus bebidas.

En cualquier puesto que tenga, hay una serie de temas fundamentales para lograr el &eacute;xito; por ejemplo, crear un medio ambiente de trabajo seguro, seguir las pol&iacute;ticas y procedimientos de la compa&ntilde;&iacute;a, respetar la confidencialidad, proteger los activos de la compa&ntilde;&iacute;a, mantener las normas de calidad, asegurarse de que el uniforme, el aspecto personal y nivel de comunicaci&oacute;n sean profesionales en todo momento. Los Especialistas de servicio al hu&eacute;sped est&aacute;n siempre en marcha; se ponen de pie, se sientan, caminan mucho, y se dedican a todo tipo de tareas (mover, levantar, llevar, empujar y colocar objetos que pesan 25 libras o menos sin ayuda; alcanzar hacia arriba, arrodillarse, girarse, estirarse y encorvarse). Es fundamental que los Especialistas de servicio al hu&eacute;sped hagan su mejor trabajo (y otras tareas razonables que se les solicite), para el &eacute;xito de estad&iacute;a del hu&eacute;sped y el &eacute;xito de nuestro negocio.
