Primary objective:
Coordinates all estimating activities on assigned project(s). Exercises a strong working knowledge of home office services, field indirect, and craft labor using a background of diversified experience and familiarity with typical project controls software such as DMCS (Document and Material Control System). Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, engineering drawings and specifications.
Develop estimating procedures for the Alliance, execute and supervise estimates for modifications and additions to the clients' facilities. The estimates are to include all phases of execution of the work from front end engineering through to closeout. During the pre-engineering phase the estimator will compare estimates of alternative solutions and provide input to selection of the adopted option.
Specific Accountabilities:
<ul><li>Prepares material takeoffs on the most complex projects, drawings, and plans. Reviews takeoffs provided by the Engineering Department and checks for mathematical and technical accuracy.
</li><li>Develop procedures for the preparation of estimates for modifications and additions to the onshore and offshore facility.
</li><li>Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of estimates in accordance with the approved procedure for all phases of the works from the agreed engineering deliverables to the appropriate level of accuracy.
</li><li>Receive the engineering estimate from the lead/project engineer for each modification/addition and incorporate into the overall estimate for all phases of the work.
</li><li>Prepare rationale statements to support the estimate identifying areas of weakness and or areas of risk.
</li><li>Carry out validation and verification of the estimates using high level norms and by comparing with previous estimates, outcome costs and vendor prices.
</li><li>Continuously monitor the performance of the estimating process as part of the KPIs for the contract.

 The Logistics Lead is responsible for executing and managing logistics operations for a country or basin, by finding a cost-efficient solution and ensuring maximum service level quality to field operations. The Logistics lead manages a team of logistics specialists, Import export specialists and logistics billing specialists.
 
 
 <ul>

 Provides on-time logistics at a competitive cost to Operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages logistics specialists, Import export specialists and logistics billing specialists, ensuring the proper training path is accomplished, assess their competencies and identifies learning opportunities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures appropriate levels of support is given to internal/ external customers and works with the Logistics Manager to fill gaps.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serves as the first point of contact for the logistics operational issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implements and/ or supports logistics cost-saving initiatives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures compliance of all services and transactions to all applicable SLB and regulatory guidelines (including but not limited to, land transport guidelines, HSE policies, local and international regulations and dangerous goods requirements).
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all Service Quality incidents are reported on time in QUEST and investigated when necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure timely escalation of potential service quality failures to line management.
 </li>

 Active involvement in reviewing and assessing the performance of logistics service providers through proactive engagement with Logistics Category/ Supplier Manager.

 Proactive engagement with internal customers via regular business/ service quality reviews.
 </li>

 Ensure compliance of the team with internal procedures and management of deviations through proper change management protocol.

 Stays current with all safety training requirements.

 Is accountable for minimizing rental fleet idle time and optimizing truck capacity utilization.
 </li>

 Works closely with Operations to develop Mobilization/Demobilization (Mob/Demob) Forecast.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works closely with Logistics specialist assigned to receive and execute the Mob/Demob plan.
 </li>
 <li>
 The Logistics Lead would normally have logistics specialists and / or Import export specialists and/or logistics billing specialists reporting into him/her. In case the Logistics Lead is based in the LCT he/she may also have Intercompany Process Coordinators reporting into him/her. The supervisor's reporting line is into GU Logistics manager or into the SSC organization where applicable / based on location of the role.
