<div>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Economist to join our dynamic and growing team. As an Economist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality economic analysis, policy advice, and strategic insights to our clients across various sectors in the Middle East and globally. You will be involved in a broad range of projects, from socio-economic baseline assessments and cost-benefit analysis to policy analysis and strategy development. Your expertise will support decision-making and drive commercial success for our clients, ensuring societal well-being and sustainable development.</div>
 <div><ul><li>Support WSP&rsquo;s engagements in economic analysis, advisory, and strategic consultancy.
</li><li>Provide advice on economic, strategic development and related policy matters, ensuring high-quality outputs for clients.
</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring continued business growth and successful project delivery.
</li><li>Conduct comprehensive economic analysis, including quantitative and qualitative research, market assessments, and economic modelling.
</li><li>Contribute to the development and enhancement of economic tools, modelling frameworks, and methodologies used within the organisation.
</li><li>Play a supporting role to Senior Economists and the team Manager in developing and securing new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, tender submissions, and stakeholder communications.
</li><li>Support project delivery within business management systems, working with our Project Managers to ensure timely and budget-conscious execution.</li></ul></div>
 <div><ul><li>A strong background in economic analysis, strategy development, and/or business case creation across a range of sectors.
</li><li>Consultancy experience with a proven track record in delivering projects.
</li><li>Proficiency in spreadsheet modelling, economic data analysis, and relevant software tools.
</li><li>Experience in handling large datasets, conducting statistical analysis, and presenting findings in clear and accessible formats.
</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations in English. Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
</li><li>Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering practical, actionable solutions.
</li>An undergraduate degree in economics or a closely related discipline is required. A postgraduate qualification is highly desirable, with a focus on microeconomics, public policy, or environmental economics being advantageous.

<ul><li>Strong organisational skills and ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
</li><li>A good understanding of economic trends and markets relevant to public and private sector clients.
</li><li>Experience with socio-economic analysis, market research, and impact assessments, and policy design.
</li><li>Familiarity with national and international sources of government and business statistics.
</li><li>A proven ability to develop professional networks and work as part of a cohesive team.
</li><li>GIS skills are highly desirable.
</li>Passion for innovation, sustainability, and contributing to meaningful societal outcomes through evidence-based economic advice.
