Developmental and RNA biology of protozoan pathogens</b></p><p></p><p>
We are seeking a research scientist to join our projects on the molecular and developmental biology of protozoan pathogens, and on the nature of human immunity to these pathogens. The project uses a combination of complementary genetic, molecular, immunological, and informatic methods, and the scientist will have direct responsibility for research activities in the lab and will also collaborate with the principal investigator to write manuscripts/grant proposals. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in cellular and molecular biology and immunology, especially with respect to protozoan pathogens, and expertise in basic cell, molecular biological, and immunological techniques. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the abilities to establish clear goals, organize and prioritize research, work with a diverse and collaborative team, and thrive within a multi-disciplinary environment are critical.</p><p></p><p>

</p></li><li><p>Perform maintenance tasks in Terra Dotta specific to programmatic and team needs, including checking in proposals, opening programs, creating cost sheets, creating and updating templates;
</p></li><li><p>Provide general study abroad advising across all program types;
</p></li><li><p>Support other operational and/or administrative duties as assigned.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Working Group and General Office Duties:
</p><ul><li><p>Participate and contribute to one or more office-wide working groups (e.g. Strategic Planning, Sustainability, Race &amp; Equity, Internal Culture, etc)
</p></li><li><p>Participate in Withdrawal/Emergency Withdrawal review processes
</p></li><li><p>Supervise student workers (if applicable)
</p></li><li><p>Other projects as assigned.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Requirements:
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree
</li><li>1 year of work experience with international education or a related field.
</li></ul><p></p><p>Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
</p><p></p><p><b>Desired qualifications:
</b></p><ul><li>H igher education experience
</li><li>Strong communication skills
</li><li>International experience
</li><li>Demonstrated the capacity to identify, initiate, and implement business process improvements
</li><li>Experiences with MS Word and Excel, Terra Dotta, Wordpress, institutional student databases and other administrative systems are preferred qualifications.
