<p><b>Job Title: Female Purchaser (with Logistics Management Skills)</b></p><p><b>Location:</b> Kuwait<br/><b>Department:</b> International Procurement &amp; Logistics<br/><b>Reports to:</b> Supply Chain/Procurement Manager<br/><b>Employment Type:</b> Full-time<br/><b>Visa</b>: Transferable residency in Kuwait</p><p><b>Job Overview:</b></p><p>We are looking for a proactive and experienced <b>Foreign Purchaser</b> with strong <b>logistics management</b> abilities to manage international sourcing and procurement. This role requires expertise in negotiating with overseas suppliers, handling import documentation, and ensuring timely, cost-efficient, and compliant delivery of goods.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p><b>International Purchasing:</b></p><ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable international suppliers.</li><li>Request and analyze quotations from foreign vendors; negotiate pricing, payment terms, and incoterms.</li><li>Prepare and process international purchase orders and contracts.</li><li>Monitor global market trends, currency fluctuations, and international sourcing opportunities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and import/export laws.</li></ul><p><b>Logistics Coordination:</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate international shipping and freight forwarding (sea, air, or land transport).</li><li>Liaise with customs brokers, freight agents, and relevant government agencies to ensure smooth clearance of imported goods.</li><li>Track shipments, manage lead times, and ensure timely delivery to warehouses or production facilities.</li><li>Oversee documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.</li></ul><p><b>Vendor and Supply Chain Management:</b></p><ul><li>Evaluate supplier performance and quality assurance through audits and reviews.</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments (finance, production, sales, etc.) to align supply chain activities with business objectives.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and reorder to maintain optimal stock levels.</li><li>Maintain updated records of supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.</li></ul><p><b>Team and Operational Leadership:</b></p><ul><li>Lead or support logistics/purchasing staff as needed.</li><li>Recommend process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience in international purchasing and import logistics.</li><li>Strong understanding of incoterms, international trade laws, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.</li><li>Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.</li><li>Fluent in English (additional languages such as Arabic is a plus).</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Certification in Supply Chain or International Trade (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, FIATA).</li><li>Experience working with suppliers in Asia, Europe, or the Middle East.</li><li>Familiarity with HS codes, trade agreements, and compliance frameworks.</li></ul><p><b>Key Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Strategic thinking &amp; negotiation</li><li>Attention to international trade compliance</li><li>Cross-cultural communication</li><li>Time and logistics management</li><li>Team leadership and coordination</li></ul><p><b>What We Offer:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive salary + commission</li><li>Supportive and professional work environment</li><li>Opportunities for career growth and development</li></ul><p>If you meet the above criteria and are ready to be part of a successful team, please send your CV to: <b>hrq@janapack.com</b></p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p>
