Job Description 
The Network Operations Center Analyst II will report to the Network Operations shift lead and NOC Manager of the Support Services Division. This position is primarily for the Day Shift but the work shift may change to either Midnight or Swing shift if staffing is needed to cover operational gaps. This position acts as a member of our Network Operations Center (NOC) supporting enterprise wide network infrastructure, critical applications, monitoring services, and incident management and escalation. In addition, this position will be responsible for monitoring all Wi-Fi networks, enterprise networks, VoIP networks and server application platforms throughout the City &amp; County of San Francisco and Disaster Recovery locations. The NOC Analyst II will perform these tasks using various network management tools, internal service management systems, and monitoring platforms. The NOC Analyst II will also serve as a coordinator for communications between internal and external departmental staff, engineering teams, and other operational groups and or vendors as needed. The NOC Analyst II will be required to follow NOC procedures and protocols, triaging and discerning incident areas and response escalations.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>
Perform Incident Management activities</li><li>
Monitor and respond to alerts and notifications for infrastructure, server, and application systems using network performance tools.</li><li>
Generate and distribute system performance and availability reports in accordance with service level expectations.</li><li>
Track and document change control activities; assist in implementing approved changes under supervision.</li><li>
Categorize, communicate and escalate issues in accordance with established procedures</li><li>
Assist in basic troubleshooting and recovery of network operations center (NOC) systems and applications under guidance.</li><li>
Document and update activities, incidents, scheduled change control events, calendar updates, and other pertinent information that occur during a shift</li><li>
Facilitate communications through email, conference calling, cell and internet based communication's systems</li><li>

Appointment Type: Permanent Exempt (PEX), Full Time position is excluded by the Charter from the competitive civil service examination process and shall serve at the discretion of the appointment officer. Project-based positions cannot be ongoing or exceed 36 months.
Work Location: Incumbent will conduct the majority of work at the Department of Technology, (1 S Van Ness, Ave San Francisco, CA 94103). However, there may be situations where the incumbent will be required to work at other sites throughout the City of San Francisco as necessary.
Nature of Work: This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work at our San Francisco office as needed. Occasional travel within San Francisco may be required.

Qualifications 
Education: Requires an Associate's Degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in computer science or a closely-related field].
Experience: One (1) year of experience performing analysis, installation and technical support in a network environment.
Substitution: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units / forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in computer science or a closely related field. OR Completion of a one (1) year State (DAS) Information Technology apprenticeship program equivalent to the City and County of San Francisco's 1090 IT Operations Support Training Program may substitute for the required education.

Job Description 
The City and County of San Francisco (City) are excited to be hiring a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) security analyst. The analyst will support a critical function of the Office of Cybersecurity that will be directly responsible for reducing risks posed to the City. The analyst will be tasked with the important role of identifying, assessing, controlling, and monitoring risks through the Citywide enterprise. They will gain firsthand experience supporting and maturing a GRC program.<ul><li>
Perform cyber risk assessments against City cybersecurity requirements.</li><li>
Conduct Vendor Risk Assessments to assess security posture of vendors.</li><li>
Support the cyber awareness training and education program, including phishing simulations.</li><li>

Job Description 
We are a small, mission-driven team leading responsible AI adoption across City government within DT.
We work on:<ul><li>
 Testing and making self-service AI tools available to other departments,</li><li>
Setting technical standards for safe and responsible AI use, and</li><li>
Building and experimenting with prototypes that demonstrate the potential of applied AI.</li></ul>
As our Applied AI Engineer, your primary focus will be designing and backend AI cloud infrastructure needed to power AI services. This includes building ingestion pipelines, managing vector databases, integrating LLM APIs, and ensuring backend systems are reliable, observable, scalable, and safe.
This role is hands-on, creative, and highly collaborative &mdash; ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, product, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Build and manage RAG infrastructure and other cloud tools as needed (e.g., ingestion pipelines, embedding services, retrieval APIs, orchestration).</li><li>
Deploy and maintain vector databases and integrate them with AI services.</li><li>
Develop APIs and backend services that connect prototypes to LLMs and retrieval systems.</li><li>
Implement observability practices including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance metrics to ensure system reliability and transparency.</li><li>

According to Civil Services Commission Rule 109, the duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to this job code/class and are not intended to be an inclusive list.
1. Conduct tests and examinations on cases assigned to unit
2. Collect and transport multiple forms of Identification information to and from various locations for evaluation and chain of custody documentation and process according to department procedure.
3. Process, identify and compare, visible, plastic, and partial finger, palm, foot, or similar type prints or impressions through various mediums or other special equipment for the department.
4. Encode and input data into SFPD ABIS, CAL-ID AFIS and FBI ULW / NGI fingerprint systems; and classify fingerprints for facility of retrieval by the different systems users.

The Information Systems Manager reports to the Chief Operating and Experience O&#64259;cer and works closely with the Operations Manager, the Chief Financial and Accountability O&#64259;cer, the Contracts Manager, the Well Being Manager and the Communications Director. This position is responsible for the department&rsquo;s IT infrastructure and for the complex analysis, evaluation, recommendation, development and implementation of major healthcare management programs and functions of the Health Service System. This position plans, organizes, directs and controls functional and technical work of the PeopleSoft HCM system involving Bene&#64257;ts Administration.
Individual Tasks:<ul><li>
Complete all aspects of regulatory filing such as IRS 1095-C, CMS Part D Creditable Coverage, CMS RxDC reporting. 
</li><li>Function as the Department Information Security officer (DISO) responsible for completing technology risk assessments, remediating findings, responding to cyber threats, maintaining and testing the business continuity of operations plan. 
</li><li>Function as Department Preparedness Coordinator (DPC) responsible for maintaining and providing training on the Facility Emergency Plan and the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan. 
</li><li>Responds to public information requests; conducts eDiscovery related to legal or compliance matters. 
</li><li>Prepare and verify data accuracy and completeness of highly sensitive datasets prior to release. 
</li><li>Administer access and configuration of key applications. 
</li><li>Provides additional support for time critical benefits administration system modifications including drafting development requests, conducting testing, configuring applications and providing post implementation support. 
</li><li>Review and approve data releases to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements. 
</li><li>Ensure information security change management processes are followed, review and approved migrations to production environments. 
 
Management Responsibilities: 
</li><li>Plan, organize, direct and control functional and technical work of the PeopleSoft HCM system involving Bene&#64257;ts Administration. Manage the division's work, projects initiatives and ongoing operational support. Ensure production processes are completed accurately and timely. 
</li><li>Communicate with the Controller&rsquo;s O&#64259;ce, Sr. Management, Executive Steering Committee, boards, commissions and major stakeholders by providing regular reports; present business needs and system requirements and recommendations for policy action or resolution; and provide reports as requested. 
</li><li>Oversee department technology and reporting strategy aimed towards streamlining work processes, implementing e&#64259;ciencies, and making information transparent, understandable and accessible. 
</li><li>Collaborate with technical experts to develop business goals that align with department&rsquo;s strategic goals and objectives; de&#64257;ne and analyze the functional and technical requirements for ongoing system architecture/infrastructure planning and procurement, consistent with maximum e&#64259;ciency and best practices. 
</li><li>Collaborate with technical experts to maintain and test a current contingency plan for all technologies and systems to prepare for and mitigate systems failure or recovery from disaster. 
</li><li>Develop and implement procedures, controls and policies to maintain smooth, e&#64256;ective, and secure systems operations that remain compliant with city cybersecurity policy and practice, administrative, legal, and regulatory requirements. 
</li><li>Represent the Department and promotes its interests to inter-agency committees and working groups. 
</li><li>Oversee department IT procurement. 
</li><li>Perform other duties as required.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
All applicants must verify that they meet both elements below
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with major college coursework in management information systems, computer science, information technology, data processing operations, business administration or a related &#64257;eld; AND
 Experience: Six (6) years of progressively increasing project management experience. This experience must include one (1) year of managing large integrated systems which may have included Human Resources, Benefits and Payroll functions in a complex organization of the six (6) year duration and (3) years of the six (6) years must include experience supervising professionals.
Substitution: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units / forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field.
Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may be substituted for the required degree.

One (1) year of Emergency Preparedness, Response and/or Recovery experience in the area of HCM systems or Payroll Operations;</li><li>
Extensive knowledge and experience in managing PeopleSoft Human Capital Management applications;</li><li>
Project Management Certification or demonstrated experience in project management;</li><li>
Demonstrated strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills and abilities;</li><li>
Demonstrated experience interacting with internal and external governmental personnel and outside vendors and contractors;</li><li>
Experience with hiring and managing staff at the IT project manager and analyst levels;</li><li>
Experience with setting performance standards, creating policies and procedures, and managing the work environment for professional level staff;</li><li>
Proven knowledge of human resources, benefits administration, and payroll principles, processes and practices and knowledge of modern organization and performance management methods;</li><li>
Experience analyzing and solving complex systems problems and identifying and recommending appropriate solutions;</li><li>
Proven ability to interact skillfully and tactfully with all levels of government officials, customers, employees and the general public;</li><li>
Skill at demonstrating the highest levels of organizational leadership and management;</li><li>
Proven ability to plan, organize and direct work of a diverse group of professional subordinates.</li></ul>
