 The Secondee Legal Counsel will support the Client&rsquo;s business and will be based in Bangalore, India. This role reports to the Contracts Leader for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal counsel to senior management, draft and negotiate complex international agreements, and proactively identify and mitigate legal risks. The role also involves developing internal legal and compliance frameworks to support business operations and reduce exposure to litigation.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Act as the primary legal secondee for contract review and management across the APAC region (excluding India and China), ensuring alignment with the Client&rsquo;s standard processes and contractual practices.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer sales contracts, supply and distribution agreements, licensing arrangements, joint development agreements, NDAs, and more.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as the legal point of contact for the Client&rsquo;s business in APAC (excluding India and China), collaborating with regional leadership and functional teams to deliver timely and effective legal support.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with internal stakeholders&mdash;project managers, legal counsel, procurement, and executives&mdash;to develop contract strategies aligned with business objectives.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide legal analysis and guidance on commercial law, intellectual property, compliance, product liability, and risk assessment for potential transactions.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct preventive legal training on topics such as competition law, contracting best practices, IP protection, anti-corruption regulations (e.g., FCPA, PCA), and workplace policies.

 Requirements
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications &ndash; Must Have:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 &middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in law.
 
 
 
 &middot; 6&ndash;8 years of relevant experience in a major law firm and/or corporate legal department.
 
 
 
 &middot; Proven experience negotiating complex international infrastructure contracts, preferably in the Oil &amp; Gas sector.

 An MBA from a top-tier institution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in Management Consulting preferably with big 4 firms and other IT enabled services equivalent firms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience of working on at least 4 large-scale business transformation or technology-enabled transformation programs. Demonstrated ability to manage extensive teams, execute complex programs on time, within budget, delivering measurable value to achieve client satisfaction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency with local language and a proven track record of client relationship management in the countries of hiring.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience of working on high value projects which involve high level of interaction with CXOs and top management executives with established relationship with local banks/ FIs and sales experience in the local market.

 Expertise in developing and managing comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Risk Breakdown Structures (RBS) to ensure project clarity, task division, and risk identification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated ability to implement and lead process-driven delivery methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practices and structured project execution.
