The construction site superintendent's primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and successful fulfillment to the contract after the design phase. A strong construction site superintendent will likely have experience with both HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction, and will additionally have strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

The construction site superintendent's support team consists of administrative staff in the office, other construction site superintendents, engineers, design team members, and any other team members they need to use. During heavy construction, the construction site superintendent is on-site at all times. During other project periods, the construction site superintendent may not have to be on the construction site every day, and may work at the office or possibly remotely to assist with other projects not in the heavy construction period. Travel is required to job sites.

<ul><li> Conducts safety meetings and speaks publicly to project and client personnel.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Conducts investigations, root cause analysis, identify and implement corrective actions, and produce appropriate reporting and documentation.</li></ul><br>

Responsibilities:</p><br>
<p></p>
<ul><li> Works full time on an assigned project site.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Develops and maintains project-specific HASP, AHA, EMP and monitors adherence/efficacy of plans.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Performs daily hazard hunts and addresses employee observations.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintains project safety information, documents, and metrics.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Provides and assures appropriate inspection and maintenance of safety supplies and equipment on project.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Conducts incident/injury intervention, escorting injured workers to medical care as required.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Conducts incident investigations and reporting, implements corrective actions to address investigation findings.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Communicates with Area HSE Lead and Regional HSE Manager to provide updates and seek support where needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Tracks, trends, and documents project safety performance metrics.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Is expected and has the authority to stop unsafe actions and behaviors on the project site.</li></ul><br>

Physical Demands/Working Environment:</b></p><br>

<ul><li> Working outdoors in various temperatures and conditions.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Will wear various PPE (respirators, fall protection, etc.).</li></ul>
<ul><li> Will travel on various land, water, and aircraft.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Will sit and stand for several hours at a time.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, squatting for various periods of time.</li></ul><br>
