Job Summary
The structural engineer is responsible for all aspects of the project relating to structural works, the duties must be performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project. The role includes management of the structural inspector. 
Job Duties<ul><li>

The role involves quantity take-off, variation submission, material management, coordination with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality project execution.Key Responsibilities:Technical &amp; Design Management:<ul><li>Review and interpret technical specifications, IFC drawings, and project documents.</li><li>Perform design review, design calculations, and shop drawing preparation.</li><li>Ensure adherence to contract conditions, project specifications, and tender requirements.</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Supervision:<ul><li>Coordinate with Client, Consultant, Civil Contractors, and other service disciplines to ensure smooth execution.</li><li>Attend technical, coordination, and progress meetings to meet project milestones.</li><li>Supervise and monitor site installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, materials, and method statements.</li></ul>Material &amp; Procurement Management:<ul><li>Prepare material requests, follow up with Head Office for orders and deliveries.</li><li>Ensure materials are available at site as per project schedule.</li><li>Review and follow up on shop drawing and material submittals for timely approval.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Safety Compliance:<ul><li>Ensure all site activities comply with approved QA/QC procedures, method statements, and safety standards.</li><li>Coordinate inspections and approvals with QA/QC engineers as per the Project Quality Plan (PQP).</li></ul>Progress &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>Monitor subcontractor performance and report work progress to the Project Manager and Planning Engineer.</li><li>Track and report on-site progress to ensure timely completion and adherence to project timelines.</li></ul>Electrical / Mechanical Expertise (as applicable):<ul><li>Electrical: Expertise in lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.</li><li>Mechanical: Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and related systems design and implementation.</li><li>Full knowledge of relevant Authority regulations, standards, and approval procedures.</li></ul>Project &amp; Contract Management:<ul><li>Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.</li><li>Review and approve technical submittals and respond to RFIs.</li><li>Review contractor variation/change order proposals and provide recommendations to Resident Engineer / Project Manager.</li><li>Ensure all works comply with contractual and procedural requirements during execution and handover stages.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Mechanical (B.Sc / B.E).</li><li>10&ndash;15 years of experience with MEP contracting companies, including at least 8 years in the UAE/Gulf region.</li><li>Proven experience in handling complex MEP projects from start to completion.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: AED17,000.00 - AED22,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):<ul><li>How many years of experience do you have in MEP contracting companies?</li><li>How many MEP projects have you successfully handled from initiation to completion?</li><li>Have you worked on coordination with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors for MEP works?</li><li>Do you have work experience in the UAE or GCC region?</li><li>What is your notice period or earliest availability to join?</li><li>What's your current Salary and your expected salary?
