Secondary English Teacher AY2026-2027

Egypt Education Platform is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher for the academic year 2026-2027 to join our esteemed team at "GEMS British International School in Madinaty " . This role provides an excellent opportunity for skilled educators to inspire students and foster a deep appreciation for the English language and literature.

The position is based in Cairo, Egypt, with a preference for candidates who have experience teaching the British curriculum internationally or in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the British Curriculum for Secondary English, focusing on reading, writing, literature, and critical thinking
• Use diverse teaching methodologies to meet the varying needs and learning styles of students, ensuring an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess and track student progress through various evaluation methods, providing meaningful feedback to enhance student learning outcomes
• Encourage a love for English literature through stimulating discussions, projects, and extracurricular activities, such as book clubs and writing contests
• Collaborate with fellow educators to create cross-curricular connections and enhance the overall educational experience for students
• Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and provide strategies for academic development
• Commit to professional development through participation in training sessions, workshops, and educational conferences
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field is required
• A minimum of 3 years' teaching experience in a Secondary English role, preferably within the British curriculum framework
• Strong knowledge and understanding of English language and literature, with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Creative and adaptable teaching style that accommodates diverse learning needs
• Dedication to continuous professional development and engagement in school activities
• PGCE certification is a plus
