Secondary Science Teacher (AY 26-27)

GEMS TBS (The British School El-Rehab)is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Science Teacher. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, and contribute to the development of the Science curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined Science
• Ensure teaching aligns with the British National Curriculum / IGCSE / A-Level standards
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and reporting as required
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintain a safe, well-organized, and stimulating laboratory/classroom environment
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent)
• Participate in department meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities
• Uphold school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Science Education (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related)
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school
• Experience teaching IGCSE / A-Level Science preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for teaching and student development
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
